Black Pear holds a SACS consultancy commission with the Office of Government
Commerce. The OGC SACS consultancy service supports the
government's planned efficiency and cost savings initiatives
This commission enables us to provide in-depth advice on property and
facilities management issues to all government departments, non-departmental
public bodies (NDPBs) and local authorities, who may request support from
the OGC Service Desk. The support is on a pre-agreed fee basis, which
eliminates the need for competitive tendering
The advice follows OGC Best Practice, including
application of the 'Achieving Excellence' approach to infrastructure
projects and services. Our involvement in public sector projects
includes strategic advice, Best Value reviews (as required by LGA99),
project appraisals, and Gateway review support
Black Pear has developed a unique approach called
'Rethinking Requirements', leading to better definition of requirements,
better selection of options and better value from support services and/or
building project
