We're often asked "why Black Pear, and why
then is the pear coloured green?"
The black pear is the emblem of Worcester,
where our business started in 2003. Elizabeth the 1st is
reputed to have suggested that the fruit should become the City's emblem. When the fruit is young the colour
is bright green. Ours is a young business with an equally interesting
heritage - so its appropriate to adopt this colourful emblem
