Black Pear
has prepared the facilities management strategy, and managed
the selection of a preferred operational partner, for a major new housing
scheme to be built in Suffolk, on The Elveden Estate
Elveden Estate is one of the largest privately owned estates
in England, and is home to Lord Iveagh, head of the Guinness family
The scheme will provide the US Air Force with nearly 600
managed homes on a long term lease. The houses are for senior officers
and their families, enabling crews to be located closer to their key
operational bases in the UK. Each house is designed to offer higher
standards of accommodation than can normally be obtained through open-market
leasing
As part of the project, we have developed high-performance
management procedures to ensure that each property is maintained at the
exacting standards expected by the occupants. We have also developed a
number of operational processes that will ensure the entire estate benefits
from improved asset management techniques
The scheme is currently undergoing a full review with the US
Air Force European Headquarters
