Greater London Authority

Black Pear undertook a Best Value Review of the building management and support services at this prestigious landmark building, in line with the Local Government Act 1999 review requirements

Work included:

  • Review of current services and value contributed
  • Interviews with end-users, suppliers and executive staff
  • Benchmarking with major public and private sector organisations
  • Providing advice on service risk and bundling
  • Recommendations for process improvements to reduce administrative effort
  • Proposals to secure more advantage from IT applications

Black Pear proposed a series of refinements, which were implemented by the GLA.  This resulted in open tendering of some service contracts and updating of certain procedures, which have improved efficiency and value-for-money
